It has fewer connections, cheaper feeling controls, less controls and at the moment I'm struggling to get my (dell) laptop to see it. If you are prepared to spent the time manually fiddling with the RGB balance and other settings the colours are OK, until you move your head, then they are different. To my untrained eye the colour rendering is excellent. I have watched a movie on it but only at my desk and it too looked excellent.
